This homeowner in Gloucester, VA contacted us with concerns about high energy bills and thier home being uncomfortable. Every room on the second floor, below the attic, felt like it was a different temperature, and in the summer, just going upstairs felt like walking into a wall of heat. Not only was this home uncomfortably cold in the winter and hot in the summer, but the HVAC was running ALL THE TIME. It is denser than fiberglass, allowing less air to pass through it and offering a higher R-value per inch. In addition, the Cellulose prodcut we use also contains borate, a substance that deters pests and rodents. Another great bonus of this Cellulose product is that it doesn't ignite in the instance of a fire, it smolders. This Gloucester homeowner now has a more comfortable and energy efficient home with even temperatures from room to room and lower energy bills.
