Before - Attic Insulation
Upon inspection, we found that there was little insulation in the attic space. The tops of the joists showed throughout the attic space, and several gaps and openings were present contributing to the air loss the homeowner was experiencing.
Under Insulated Attic
With so little insulation in the space, it's no surprise that the homeowner has been experiencing high energy bills and uneven temperatures throughout the home. Gaps from electrical, other utilities, and top plates allows conditioned air to escape. We'll move aside the existing insulation and air seal gaps to prevent air leakage.
Cellulose & Energy Savings
With this new blanket of insulation and air sealing in place, the homeowner will see less conditioned air loss. Ultimately this results in lower energy bills, more comfortable rooms throughout the home and less drafts.
Chimney Insulation
A space is left around the chimney in homes as a safety measure. Often these spaces go all the way down to the first floor or crawl space of the home, creating a HUGE space for air to escape. We'll install flashing around the chimney and then rockwool insulation to separate the new insulation from the chimney.
Cellulose Attic Insulation
A new blanket of cellulose insulation, often referred to as blown-in insulation, is installed over the existing insulation. The product used by The Drying Company is 85% recycled material and 15% new material.
