This homeowner has been battling water issues in their basement and needed a solution that would help keep the basement dry and protect their belongings. WaterGuard is installed along the perimeter of the basement leading to a sump pump. In this case, the homeowner had an existing pump basin and opted to use that and just replace their existing pump with a 1/3 hp pump. CleanSpace liner is attached to the basement wall directing any moisture that comes through the wall down into the WaterGuard system.

Water infiltration

Staining and sediment on the floor indicate where water infiltration is impacting the space.

Moisture damage

Efflorescence and water staining on the foundation walls indicate areas where water has been seeping into the space. Efflorescence is a result of the moisture bringing sediment in the block to the surface with it.

CleanSpace Vapor Barrier

CleanSpace is applied to the foundation walls to direct any moisture moving through the foundation walls down into the WaterGuard system.

WaterGuard System

WaterGuard is installed along the perimeter of the basement. The slab is reinstalled over the drain track, which is designed not to clog with dirt and sediment. The system feeds to a sump pump which pumps the water away from the home's foundation and to a spot on the property designated by the homeowner.
