CleanSpace Vapor Barrier
A 20-mil CleanSpace vapor barrier is being installed over the porous walls of this basement. This heavy-duty liner acts as an air barrier and vapor retarder. It's a 7-layer polyethylene vapor barrier with UltraFresh built into the material, which will help to prevent mold growth on the liner itself. The CleanSpace will catch any water infiltration through the porous basement walls and lead it down to the Water Guard XL drainage system.
Water Guard XL Trench
A trench is being created around the perimeter of the basement floors using a jackhammer. Then, we fill this trench with drainage rock and a Water Guard XL drainage system. This system uses flanges to connect to the CleanSpace and collect any water that infiltrates through the basement walls. The Water Guard XL then drains the water to a sump pump basin, where we will install a TripleSafe sump pump system.
TripleSafe Sump Pump System
This TripleSafe contains a 1/2 horsepower Zoller pump, a 1/3 horsepower Zoller pump, and a battery backup UltraSump to help manage heavy quantities of water. This 3-sump system is connected to the Water Guard XL system and will drain out any water gathered via a drain line. It also comes with three CleanPump stands, an airtight lid, and a WaterWatch alarm system in case there are any pump failers.
