If you look at the walls and around the edges of the room where the floor meets the wall, you can see staining where water has been entering the basement along with dirt and sediment.

The basement walls have staining and paint chipping and flaking from water infiltration and moisture damage.
CleanSpace on Walls - During Install
We installed CleanSpace (A heavy-duty vapor barrier) on the walls of the basement that are below grade. The CleanSpace will direct any water that comes in through the cinder block wall down into the WaterGuard Drainage System.
WaterGuard Drainage System - During Install
Along the perimeter of the basement, we dug a trench and filled it with rock, then installed the WaterGuard Drainage System. The WaterGuard System collects any water that enters the basement and directs it to the SuperSump which carries it away from the home.

To the left of the Plumbing in the photo, you can see a raised section of the WaterGuard System, this remains visible after the concrete is poured over the rest of the WaterGuard system. It allows easy access to the drainage track if it needs to be cleaned for any reason, without tearing the floor back up.
WaterGuard and Clean Space - After Basement Waterproofing
The darker line of cement around the perimeter of the basement is where the WaterGuard track has been covered back up leaving a smooth finish to the floor. The CleanSpace will direct water coming through the concrete block into the WaterGuard system and the white finish on the CleanSpace makes the room look brighter.
SuperSump System - After Basement Waterproofing
The SuperSump collects all the water from the WaterGuard Drainage System and pumps it out and away from the home. The SuperSump is a 1/3 horsepower cast iron pump, that can discharge up to 2,200 gallons per hour. It sits on a stand inside the basin, keeping it out of silt and sediment. It also features a WaterWatch alarm, that alerts you if the pump fails, before your basement gets wet.
