Air Sealing
Top plates and utility penetrations are a major source of conditioned air loss. All of these areas will be air sealed before new insulation is installed to prevent air loss.

Recessed Light Covers
These Rockwood recessed light covers, (aka can light covers) are installed over all of the recessed lighting housing and sealed to the floor. Can lights are a major source of conditioned air loss.

Blown-in insulation
After the air sealing is complete, cellulose is blown in over the existing insulation. The cellulose product used by The Drying Company is 85% recycled materials such as news paper, and 15% new material including borate.
