Can lights are a major culprit of energy loss in homes, approximately 10 Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM) leak out of each can light in your home. If you're having a hard time imagining what 10CFM looks like, think of 10 basketballs flying out of just one can light every minute. Now multiply by how many can lights you have in your home. That's a lot of energy loss!
Removing Insulation from a Barhamsville Attic.
We started this job by removing all of the old insulation in the attic. For loose insulation, such as the blown in fiberglass, we use an industrial vacuum that sucks the loose insulation through a hose and down into our trucks.

Once all the old insulation is removed, we are ready to install can light covers and air seal before blowing in new, cellulose insulation.
