Sales Representative – Full Time

The Drying Company is a local, family-owned, Home Performance Contractor that has been serving Greater Richmond and Hampton Roads since 2002. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for positive, friendly, and driven individuals to join our team. Our Sales Representatives are the first people in our business to have in-person contact with our clients and we’re looking for individuals with a high level of integrity who take pride in their work and are always willing to learn to provide them with WOW service. 

How does it work? Homeowners contact us with a problem in their attic, basement, crawl space, or foundation. Our in-house Appointment Center then schedules an appointment for you to visit the home when the homeowner is present to perform an inspection, do your sales presentation, and provide a free estimate. That’s right, NO COLD CALLS! But, before we let you hit the road and run appointments, we’ll give you all the training you need with our tools, products, services, and software so you’re prepared for whatever comes your way. All our solutions are rooted in the Latest Building Science Best Practices helping our clients find the causes of their concerns and develop long term solutions, not temporary fixes.

The Drying Company Serves homeowners from Greater Richmond through Williamsburg and into Virginia Beach, VA, and currently has 8 full-time Sales Representatives, running appointments with homeowners 5 days a week (Monday – Friday). Knowledge is a key value in our business. Our Sales Team gathers at our office in Toano, VA every Monday and Thursday morning to spend a few hours training together ensuring they are up to date on the latest products, services, and best practices. ·         Update client records with appointment photos, estimates, notes, and results as well as scheduling and completing follow-up activities.

·         Meet sales and ADL goals

·         Represent the company in a professional manner.

Qualifications

·         In-home sales experience in the home improvement industry preferred

·         Must be proficient with Mobile and Laptop Use

·         Able to be in a vehicle for long periods of time

·         Excellent customer service skills

·         Active listening skills

·         Organizational and follow-up skills

·         Attention to detail required

·         Clear verbal and written communication required

·         Must have a high level of integrity and commit to always putting the customer first while maintaining company profitability.

·         Valid driver’s license required.

Working conditions

·         Travel between appointments and to office.

·         Must be comfortable in small, dark, and damp areas.

·         Able to handle weather conditions based on the season.

Physical Requirements

·         Carrying, climbing, crawling, crouching, kneeling, lifting, pulling, sitting, standing, stooping, and walking.
