2020 Annual Toy & Coat Drive to Benefit Child Development Resources
The Drying Co./ThermalTec and The Junkluggers of Williamsburg are excited to kick off our annual Toy & Coat Drive to benefit Child Development Resources (CDR). CDR is a Non-profit organization located in Williamsburg that “strives to inspire and empower, children, families, and early childhood professionals to reach their full potential, whatever their challenges.
Since 1965, Child Development Resources has served more than 1,400 children and their families each year. CDR has been a consistent and reliable resource for physicians, teachers, and parents in Williamsburg, James City County, York County, and Poquoson.
Each year, The Drying Co. & Junkluggers of Williamsburg host a Toy and Coat Drive to benefit CDR and the families they serve. How to participate in our Coat & Toy Drive:
- Donations can be dropped off at The Drying Co. office located at 236 Industrial Blvd. Toano, VA 23168
- If you have a scheduled appointment with one of The Drying Co.’s Service Technicians or Home Performance Advisors, they can pick up your donation at the appointment.
- If you have a scheduled junk removal appointment with The Junkluggers of Williamsburg, our Luggers will accept donations for CDR at no additional cost.
CDR is in need of:
CDR families are in need of coats in all sizes 9 months to Adult Large that are in new or like-new condition.
(all age-appropriate, birth to 36 months)
- Manipulative toys (ex: nesting and lacing toys)
- Science toys
- Dress up clothes
- Kitchen set & pretend dishes and food
- Dolls (male and female or diverse cultures)
- Cars and trucks
- Baby doll clothes and bottles (pretend play)
In addition, CDR welcomes donations of diapers in all sizes at any time.
CDR will ONLY accept donations in their original packaging.
Donations will be accepted through December 2nd to deliver to CDR in time for distribution for the holiday. However, any items donated after December 2nd will be delivered to CDR as received.
