Spray Foam Convention 2017
This month two of our team members, Joe Hogge and Andy Bailey, attended the SPFA (Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance) convention in Palm Springs, CA. The goal of the conference was to bring industry experts, contractors, distributors, equipment suppliers, chemical suppliers, coating suppliers, material suppliers and consultants together to build their customer base and learn from each other. As members of the SPFA, we have access to tools and the latest news in the industry. In addition, SPFA offers certifications for individuals and companies to demonstrate their proficiency in applying spray foam insulation in various applications.
While at the convention, Andy earned a certification as a Spray Foam Master Installer. SPFA awards this certification to individuals who have “extensive experience spraying spray foam in various applications and has demonstrated competence in SPF field applications through a field examination. The SPF Master Installer’s duties may include all aspects of installation of the SPF as well as equipment function/maintenance/repair, and an understanding of other systems as well as the proper installation of protective coatings.” Having this certification is a way for The Drying Co. to demonstrate our continued commitment to providing our customers with the best solutions possible. 
Currently, Joe is pursuing the Spray Foam Insulation Project Manager Certification. SPFA awards this certification to individuals “involved in all aspects of the installation and project management of SPF. The SPF Project Manager has extensive Knowledge and Skills in all aspects of SPF in various installations. The SPF Project Manager’s duties may include: managing all aspects of the project and spray foam installation, extensive knowledge and skills in building science/design, material selection/estimating and codes and standards compliance.”
Andy and Joe’s certifications also allow The Drying Co. to earn a SPFA PCP (Professional Certification Program) Contractor Company Accreditation. Through earning this certification, The Drying Co. is able to demonstrate our commitment to professionalism and excellence within the industry, and to our customers. The resources provided by being a member of the SPFA will allow The Drying Co. to continue to grow within the industry, and learn the latest technologies and methods behind installing SPF.
