Preparing for Home Code Changes in Virginia

The way homes are built is changing. In preparation for this, we hosted a seminar for building professionals to discuss how to anticipate these changes and stay ahead of the curve. 

Participants represented Hampton Roads and surrounding areas- from Richmond and the Peninsula to the Southside area. Our guest speaker, Chuk Bowles, brought his wit and expertise to a room full of builders, HVAC professionals, architects, and other professionals.

This transition in home building is prompted by the 2012 IRC Energy Codes and Ventilation Requirements. Although the codes were released in 2012, there is still a window of time to prepare before codes are enforced. 

Chuk explained the code changes and some practical ways to adjust building practices. The interactive environment allowed participants to ask questions and network with other professionals. We received lots of positive feedback from participants.
