Master Electrician

The Master Electrician role at The Drying Company is focused on installing dedicated circuits for various home systems such as dehumidifiers, sump pumps, and radon fans. This position involves working in homeowners' attics, basements, and crawl spaces and requires a licensed electrician to provide professional, high-quality service while adhering to safety standards. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing daily work orders, loading materials, and traveling to job sites.

• Communicating with homeowners about project details and progress.

• Installing electrical systems and ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes.

• Diagnosing and solving on-site electrical issues and providing customer support.

• Maintaining clean work environments and company vehicles, along with documenting completed jobs. 

• Involves daily travel between the company's office in Toano, VA, and client homes in the Greater Richmond, Williamsburg, and Virginia Beach areas.

Qualifications and expectations:

• Valid Master Electrical License in Virginia.

• Proficiency in the National Electrical Code and experience with voltages up to 480V.

• Ability to diagnose issues, develop solutions, and communicate clearly with both team members and clients.

• Excellent customer service skills and a positive, professional attitude.

• Experience working in challenging environments such as tight, dark, or damp spaces.

• Physical stamina to perform labor-intensive tasks, including lifting heavy objects and operating tools.

• Familiarity with OSHA safety requirements.

• A minimum of three years of supervisory experience is preferred.

• Competitive pay ($30-$34/hr), full-time position (Monday–Friday).
